So I baked the chocolate cake (with the regular milk and lemon juice subsituting for buttermilk) it turned out great. But I had to trim the dome top to frost the cake. Now I have lots of chocolate cake scrap leftover. It's too yummy to throw away, but I don't want to consume it myself (the guilt!) I was thinking maybe I can use it to make a chocolate bread pudding? Add some cream, milk and a couple of egg, mush up the cake bits and bake? Any opinion on whether or not it would work? I'm having a small dinner party on Sunday and this would serve great if I don't have to make another dessert from scratch.
