Labor Day Weekend in Baltimore - suggestions/itinerary

urbanfabric | Aug 25, 201406:32 PM     10

Philly chowhounds headed to Baltimore from Friday-Sunday this weekend, would appreciate some suggestions against our itinerary. I do work in Baltimore and am there at least once a week, but not in a neighborhood that actually has any restaurants. So, while I have limited knowledge of the geography, I have very little knowledge of the great places to eat and drink. We're staying in Fells Point and won't have a car, but between zip car and uber and a willingness to walk (and bus and ferry), we are willing to travel.

Friday, arriving around noon, giving the DH a tour of my work and then out for crab cakes at Koko's. We have Orioles tickets for a 7pm game. So, we'd like a happy hour spot, from 5-7 between Fells Point and the park. Unless you would all tell me not to eat dinner at the park and we should eat an early dinner. Either way, we like craft beers and gastropubs.

Saturday, lunch at LP Steamers for crabs, dinner at Woodberry Kitchen. Should we eat a continental b-fast at the hotel and/or grab something in Fells Pt? Anywhere to get a good cocktail on the way to Woodberry or do we just wait to get there?

Sunday, brunch... I don't know where to begin, any thoughts? Somewhere we can walk to in FP or should we venture to another neighborhood?

I'd also take general recommendations for gourmet markets, farmers markets, great beer and cocktail bars, third wave coffee shops, and great liquor stores. We are always on the lookout for great local food products, local beers/spirits, etc. Union Brewery was suggested and we may find our way there on Saturday.

Thanks in advance!
