La Vuelta in LIC

La Vuelta opened I think about a year ago in Long Island City. It's a "Latin Bistro" in a neighborhood that hasn't really seen this kind of restuarant. My eating choices in the immediate vicinity are the Court Square diner, Five Star Punjabi and a place called Mexico Diner that I go to infrequently.
You've probably seen a million of them in the East Village: brick walls, cozy type restaurant...but never in LIC. They've also got a patio out back as well where you can dine.
So I went to La Vuelta about a week ago on a Thursday. We got margaritas (weak, but well intentioned),skewers of shrimp and chicken with tomatillo salsa. This was grilled and it wasn't bad, not fantastic.
A mole chicken sandwich, also ok. A salad with grilled tuna steak. For dessert, got the recommended rice pudding which was made ahead of time (mayhap too much ahead of time) and stashed bowl and all in the fridge. Not really a $3 rice pudding.
So all in all, I wasn't thrilled with the place but I'm wondering if any others living in LIC have gone and had perhaps made better choices with the menu. I imagine that this place would be a good hang-out-in-the-back-yard-patio-and-have-margaritas type place. I hear that they also have live music on the weekends.
