LA Report -- Cinnabar

Cinnabar was recommended as an alternative to the high
price Asian fusion restaurants; it is located in
Glendale--surprisingly convenient to downtown LA if
you have a car--on Brand Avenue, also convenient if
you want to buy a car (the street is lined with auto
dealerships).

Located in funky space in a converted warehouse,
Cinnabar has an imaginative menu and relaxed feel. I
had a "Thai bouillabaisse"--lemon-grass accented broth
with lots of seafood and a pickled yellowtail
appetizer, layered with crispy wonton skins--both very
tasty.

They also feature a cocktail menu, featuring classic
drinks of the past. Very reasonably priced for the
sophistication of the menu....
