Other reviews sent me to La Mar del Medio this evening, even though I was alone. The Pote del Pulpo, a stew of octopus, potatos, a bit of tomato, and garlic, was sensational. The complimentary apertivo was a crab pate. Scrumptious. Though someone on Trip Adviser once noted cold service, I found that not at all the case, even though I am a "woman of a certain age," and I find that this in the US at least, usually renders me invisible to wait-staff. Perhaps the fact that I speak Spanish helped, as did my questioning the genial host, Nino, about the recipes. He kindly explained to me how to prepare the pulpo. He also insisted on pouring me a (complimentary also) after dinner apple cordial. It was a rainy night with only three tables occupied--maybe that helped. I'd go back in a minute, and look forward to eating my way through their menu some day.
