The recipe does not make enough dough. If you have this book you may wish to make a note on the recipe page. I'd suggest at least 1 1/3 times the amount given, for their templates.
I am an experienced baker and I could see it was going to be tight so I rolled the dough a lot thinner than they said and cut more windows. Still, I ended up with about a tabelspoon of dough left over.
Very surprising, since I've had such good results from their other book, the Baker's Companion.
