I've been getting packaged mozzerella from the local BJ's and found it to be good for a reasonable price. They are like 22 oz containers. However it seems like once the seal is cracked, the mozzerella gets very sour and the water it is in gets very cloudy and gets a sour smell. This happens in less than a week.
So is there any way to make this keep a little longer? Or do I just need to eat it faster or buy smaller amounts elsewhere?
By the way, the presumed "sell by" date on the package is much later, at least a month or so.
