John Andrews & The Bistro Box ( The Berkshires )

niccole | Apr 28, 201509:22 AM     15

So, after going to Café Adam last month and complaining about the price and being a little under-whelmed, I said I would report back after my JA trip.

I went to JA last weekend with 2 friends and got there right when they opened so we could sit in the bar area. I ordered the same salad that I have ordered every single time I go there - the greens with warm mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto. One of my favorite dishes EVER. For dinner I chose the ricotta gnocchi with brown butter sage & butternut squash. Wonderful. Dessert was almond cake with ginger ice cream. Another huge hit. My friends had mussels, a penne dish, same salad as me, and the burger. For dessert they had the trio of home made ice cream and were very happy. Cocktails and wine all around $170. I LOVE JA!

After a miserable, artic winter The Bistro Box has opened back up! I have gone 3 x already, getting the same thing: the box burger ( with tomato bacon jam ) and the truffle/parmesan fries. So happy they are back! Everyone in town loves them, I only hear raves, I don't think I have heard a single person not liking it. Its just fantastic and the owners are really good people and they know what their doing.

Too bad for the condition of Main Street in GB right now...the construction is terrible. Feels so bad for the stores & restaurants.
