Jamaican takeout in Stamford

I have had several meals from Scotty's Fish & Chips in Stamford, at the intersection of Stillwater Avenue and Smith Street (down near Pellicci's). He has a variable selection of Jamaican foods for takeout, including Curry Chicken, Stew Chicken, Oxtail, Curry Goat, Stew Fish, and Ackee & Codfish. They are available as a dinner (or lunch) with rice (white or w/peas), cabbage and/or fried plaintains. He also has fried fish including Porgy, Whiting, etc.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday he makes Jerk Chicken.

Dinners are $6.95, plus or minus a dollar on the specials. Some fried fish dinners (e.g., shrimp) are more. It is takeout only.

Everything I've had has been very good, and I recommend it highly. It's a very chow kind of place, in the generally under-chowed Stamford.
