Jafran: excellent Bengalese lunch, only $2.99

It's hard to find good non-Asian food in Ktown (yes, Guelaguetza, of course, but beyond that?). Jafran is great. I got a huge plate of rice, curry chicken and a spicy spinach side for $2.99. It was so generous a portion that I had half left for today. Delicious and a great bargain. The venue is pretty barebones, but who cares? You can take the food to go for the same price. Warning, don't have them put too many peppers (optional) in the dish. Some of them are really spicy. Take a couple to try first. Crack open and smell before you bite.

Restauraunt is called Jafran, and is located on the north side of 3rd street, between hobart and harvard.
