Thanks for the great rec's on this board - I've never been steered wrong by hounds, life's too short to risk a bad meal!
My wife and I are going to Santa Fe for the 3rd time (with a sidetrip to Las Vegas, NM) next weekend. Love New Mexican food, so meals are of paramount importance and all else must hinge about them. Here's what we've come up with:
Arrive ABQ at 11am, take Turquoise Trail up and have lunch at Castro's.
Margaritas at Maria's before dinner, and then dinner at Tomasita's
Fri lunch at Cafe San Estevan (the only repeat from previous trips), dinner at Coyote Cafe (seems like the overwhelming media hype has finally calmed down and it's safe to enter).
Sat lunch at Harry's Roadhouse on the way to Las Vegas. Dinner at Los Mayas.
Squeeze in as many breakfasts at Pasqual's (also repeat) as possible, right by the hotel.
Any suggestions on a place to eat in Las Vegas? No major meal, just a quick chowish snack and a beer kind of place.
Muchas gracias amigos!
