i was wondering what everyone thinks is the best place to get a meatball hero! please post your faves, it could be anywhere in queens, brooklyn, long island, anywhere, lol. my family & i are forever on a search for a great old fashioned hero, made with homemade meatballs, not the frozen kind u find in some pizza shops today, and a fresh tasty sauce. we have yet to make it to difara's but we will soon to try his meatballs, i think some chowhounds already mentioned them being good. my family and i often think back to the meatball heroes that we used to get years back in flushing on linden place just south of 32nd ave, while growing up. it was a lil place called jenny's and the heroes were all lovingly prepared by a family which included jenny. this is going back many years, but just curious to see if anyone remembers the place. the sauce on those heroes was so awesome, and the meatballs were like butter. my family has yet to find a hero similiar to jenny's but would love to!
