My friends returned from Venice raving about a "Torta Veneziana al Pistacchio." Their photos show a bright green cake with a light brown, semi-flaky crust on the top, bottom and sides. The cake part looks to be a few inches tall.
My search for Pistachio Cake recipes keeps bringing back a cake with pistachio pudding mix. Nothing has a flaky "crust". All my friends can tell me about the flavor was that it was of pistachio. Does anyone have any other information or a recipe for this? Thanks.
