Definitely lived up to hype in our LOnely Planet and on CH'.
We got there 10 minutes before the door opened; there was a short line,
but no problems. Warm helpful service: I did not enjoy the first cup of gumbo in another restaurant, but Irene's version was top notch.
As was the Cioppino. Perfect texture of large shrimp, clams, mussels, crab and drumfish. Moppable broth; I could barely finish, but had
room to share a dense chocolate mousse with hubby.
Our best meal since leaving home, by far, and it was quite reasonable
compared to Galatoires, Would go back to try other entrees if we had time, but we don't. This is a winner!!
