I ate at this place recently, on the recommendation of, I think, Brooklyn Boy (ironic, as it is in Queens), a "vegetarian" (I saw chicken there) Jamaican take-out placeon 89th ave between 164th & 165th Sts. . . . I think I may not quite get it.
I got the combo, which was a truly bizarre combo of noodles, lettuce, tofu, cheese, some fake meat cubes (seemed to be tofu-imitations of meat), and other stuff I can't remember.
It wasn't bad, exactly, but I didn't think it tasted really good, either. It was intriguing, though, and I'm willing to give this place another chance.
To those who like it, though, I want to ask: is there something I'm missing, should be looking for? I haven't checked out other veggie Jamaicans around town like Veggie Shack or Ital; is this how they all are? Thanks for any responses.
