Finally got around to getting some take-out from the kitchen in the back of this Indian grocery, located on rt.9 and Edgell Road, in that Trolley Square strip-mallette...Surprisingly good!

I had just wanted some chaat, so I got a Chatt papri for the Commodore, and a hot (temp) and spicey one for me, that the woman at the counter recommended. This ended up being enough for two meals; two veggie samosas, smothered in a chickpea stew cooked in a hot, and salty tamarind sauce. C's was spicier that the typical chaat papri, which I think of as weenie one, with tamarind sauce and yogurt...He loves the one at Udapi Bhavan, and his respose to this was that it was MUCH better. A little less refined; in a stree-food kinda way.
I have had their cauliflower and potato parathas in the past, and they were excellent. Their take-out (Only) menu is very similar to the cuisine of Udipa Bhavan, same region, with a few southern Indian specialties. Lots of dosai, uthappam, chaat and breads...
They claim to be open til 10; I'll definitely be back to try more stuff. Not a destination, but a great place to pick up a cheap, Indian dinner.
