Il Mulino-new 5th Ave. restaurant

Laste nite we tried Il Mulino, a just-opened restaurant on 5th Avenue (around DeGraw across from the Key Food). It was quite nice. Nicely decorated, comfortable, very accommodating owner/maitre d'. The menu is fairly standard Italian, but quite complete with several specials. My husband had one of the specials - a linguine with seafood, which was excellent - the seafood was very fresh and included half a lobster. My tagliatelle with artichokes and chicken was good but a bit heavy. Dinner for 2 with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 espresso, 2 glasses of wine each came to $70.

They are trying hard to have a welcoming restaurant with good-quality food - I'd recommend giving them a try.
