thank you Houston

back on 9/2/03, i had to come to md anderson on a family medical emergency, and i posted to this board for some places to eat, since then i've been going back and forth from sf to houston and have been posting on my experiences

needless to say, it was great to have your reccommendations to rely on and my family really appreciated the great places we went to, just to take our minds off of everything and to explore the city as well, living out of a motel and being being unable to cook was very tiring so it was nice to have places planned out

well, i'm happy to say that after almost 4 months, the treatment has gone well for my family member and that i will not be going to houston in the foreseeable future

so here's a capsule summary:

favorite place: el tiempo cantina for the beef fajitas and williams smokehouse, i would put black's bbq but its too far from houston

food i'll miss the most: texas bbq, i have to say that texas bbq has really spoiled me, i just can't stomach the bbq in the bay area

restaurant i really wanted to try but didn't: hugo's

Thanks for the recs and happy new year!!!
