Yes I am guilty. I like the Thai Kitchen Noodle bowls. They are quick and filling.
But surely there isn't that much to these that I shouldn't be able to make one of my own?
When you buy the ones with the bowl you get:
Packet of "seasoning" (some type of instant soup mix?)
Little packets of dried onions, etc.
Small packet of some type of oil (sesame?)
You throw in some water, mix it all together and nuke it for a minute or two.
Since I don't like it really brothy-y, I tend to not put a lot of water in.
I am sure the sodium levels on these things is out of this world, soooo.....
Can I buy some rice noodles at the store, some type of instant soup mix and will it be similar?
Thanks for any tips. Not looking for "authentic" (I am a very boring eater, generally) but just something similar that would be perhaps a little bit "healthier" (ha ha) to eat at work.
