Home-cured corned beef 2008

Thought it might be time to bring out this thread in time for those home-briners out there.

I've used the Cook's Illustrated recipe mentioned above twice and am happy with it.

Anyone have any tweakings to the spice mixture they especially like? Sugar? Garlic? etc?
