Hibachi Grill Buffet Replaces World Buffet in West Covina With All You Can Eat Pork Chops

Chandavkl | Dec 26, 201402:33 PM     4

World Buffet in Hong Kong Plaza, which might have been the last Chinese buffet in Los Angeles that didn’t have a Japanese name, has been replaced by Hibachi Grill Buffet. Typical Chinese buffet fare. The main highlight is pork chops–a pork chop dish, in the buffet, as well as a spicy rib dish, plus pork chops in the Teppan grill. Another feature is the slabs of steamed tofu with shrimp paste. Weekday lunch is $7.59. Given the location, this is not a destination venue unless you’re into pork chops.

In other news of the same shopping center, 100% Hong Kong Café has recently opened up. This is a rarity in this part of town, so they may be filling an untapped market. Also things seem to be improving in the center’s food court, with a couple more spaces now occupied. I’m guessing they’re Indonesian style eateries.
