Harvey Girls- could there be a comeback?

girloftheworld | Jan 15, 201507:43 AM     6

So the "what makes a good diner" thread got me thinking about a report I did on The Harvey Girls and the road houses of the early west before trains had dining cars on them. For those who may not know know Harvey girls had a strict code of behaviour and standards( not unlike the early flight attendants)
I was thinking with electric cars becoming so prevalent maybe a new class of road house will pop up with charging stations. I know technology will make it where you can charge your car as fast as fueling it... but wouldnt it be cool if if you had to pull in an sit at counter and eat for an hour while car charged; visit with strangers and relax for a few bit before getting back on the road?
