What's hardest about getting food on the table?

For those of you who are trying to cook/eat in more, what do you find hardest about getting food on the table? Do you have the hardest time with organizing shopping, or with keeping the pantry stocked, or with coming up with what to make, or using leftovers? Does food rot in your fridge because it's hard to use certain things? I find it hard to use up greens, for example, because I don't like them reheated at work, and living alone, I tend to eat minimalist dinners. But I feel like I should eat greens, so I buy them. I've gotten better at shopping, so I don't have to go to the store every time I cook, but that used to be a problem. I also used to have a very small kitchen, and so it was overwhelming to cook, because it was hard to get to all but the most basic equipment (everything was stuffed deep in the two cupboards). I'm curious about what people find the most challenging about cooking regularly. Thanks.
