HAL-acious Burgers!

Burgermeister | Jun 11, 2006 12:28 PM

Hal's burger on Adelaide is a bust. They should quickly close and open a butter tart stand because in my opinion that is the only thing they do right.

A hockey puck burger with no juice and no taste. Honestly I have no clue why they thought they should open a restaurant featuring this item!?!?! The bun was crumbly as it was not fresh. The fries are good if you like a small crispy style, but they get cold way too fast and then the grease congeals. Three of us had burgers and slaw - $70.00 !!! for lunch LOLOL

Lastly Hal, if you are going to try to stay in business...quickly switch to cafeteria style cuz who wants to tip a guy to bring you your crappy burger....especially when it adds 9 bucks to your meal?

Not too far away is Shanghai Cowgirl on Queen St W - less money and a million times better. Between Bathurst and Portland, this is the best backyard burger and fries you will find under 10 bucks. ($8.50)

if you are willing to spend a bit more and enjoy a superb burger for must try Beaconsfield which is across from The Drake on Queen w. Awesome burger and fries....deluxe!
