I was in a rush today looking for a Great Cheap
Lunch in Philly and wandered past PHO 75 in NE
Philly on Adams avenue. As I had a sore throat, I was looking for something soothing.
It is a very sterile space which looks like a cafeteria setting. Patrons are mainly Vietnamese with a few hospital workers from the nearby community. They offer several different versions of a tasty PHO rice noodle beef soup and the bwls are heaping portions of rice noodles, various cuts of beef like brisket, eye round, tripe, and chicken etc(I went with the brisket). Condiments on the tables included lime and cliantro, bean sprouts and Hot sauce and Hoisin sauce. What a great bowl of Soup for $5.95. They have another branch in South Philly on Washington Ave. Really helped my sore throat. Will be back soon.
