I have a recipe for homemade granola that is easy and delicious. Every time I eat it for breakfast with yogurt or milk, I think about how good it would be if packed into bar form (because, let's face it, the dairy products are just a nutritious conduit--all I really want to do is shovel toasted granola into my mouth ad infinitum).
The current granola recipe itself uses oats, nuts, coconut flakes, maple syrup, olive oil and salt - that's it! - and the flavor is nearly perfect; it could stand to be a little sweeter, but it's honestly fine as-is.
Can anyone suggest how I could turn this pre-made granola into a granola bar without adding loads of additional honey, sugar, syrup, etc? I don't want to overload with sweetness, as I'm afraid of adding too much more sweetener and losing the flavor nuance. I don't want to start with the raw ingredients and bake from there, because the whole point is using the already-made granola that is evenly and nicely toasted.
