Can anyone comment on King Yum Restaurant, which is located in the southern outskirts of Flushing at 181-08 Union Turnpike? According to a paid "review" in today's NY Daily News, King Yum has been owned and operated by "the gracious Eng family" since 1953, making it the oldest Chinese restaurant in Queens. The menu's highlights include "the famous pu-pu platter for two that you cook on a miniature grill" and boneless Polynesian duck, prepared with pea pods, lychee and pineapple. Most of the fare is Cantonese, but Hunan and Szechuan dishes are also on the menu.
