Short version, since I'm having trouble getting a post to stick:

A few years ago I was eating saltenas from a a couple of places that are no longer around, and I settled on Luzmila's, which were pretty good, and at least consistent. When Luzmary (the original Luzmila) opened her own restaurant, I tried those, and found them better than what Luzmila was making after the change of ownership.

Then, after few visits, I tried Luzmila again and decided that I liked there saltenas better than Luzmary's, and stuck with them for a while. But on my last two visits, I found Luzmila's to be quite dry inside, just barely lukewarm even right out of the "keep warm" cabinet, and the pastry was kind of soft and doughy. Not a great saltena any more.

So, where's the place to go now? The Luz' are so close to home (Falls Church) that it'll take a really great one to get me to go across town, but I'll listen to suggestions.
