Thanks to everyone who helped us eat right. As close as we came to suffering was overpriced sushi at Nishiki's, but the chow pups got a kick out of watching a cook make like a majorette with his utensils (at someone else's table). The wild mushroom pizza at Alforno was top notch, as were the escargot at Saybrook Fish House. The pups also dug the Fish Tale, and I thought their chowder was tasty. We stayed at the Water's Edge, but didn't eat there. We had room service cappucinos (cappucini?) that were dreadful, though.
I almost got lost in the Stop and Shop (good heavens!) but paid reasonable prices for organic goods at a little place on Main St. in Old Saybrook.
Of course, the best news is that our offer on a house in Westbrook across from the Pilot Point Marina was accepted.
