Last night I got a special (which is also on the menu served a different way). I got the 10oz Rib Eye with a brandied mushroom cream sauce. I usually don't get the rib eye, because while I do like the fatty sweetness, I usually find it a bit too much chewing. This piece wasn't overly thick, which was a relief. It was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and came with sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes (sides were my choice). The sauce was the best part. If you've read my other threads, you know mushrooms are one of those things I "taught myself to like" and this needed no lecture. It was rich and creamy, the mushrooms soaked up the goodness, and it complimented the meat perfectly - for $16-17 how can you go wrong.
Next up, I think I'm going to have to get the 16oz strip.
