Looking for a decent Chinese restaurant in the Irvine area that serves up good Mapo Tofu. I know it's not that hard to make but sometimes after a tough day at the office, a nice beer(s), some fried rice and some Mapo (or is that Mapa?) Tofu sounds pretty good to me. Those that use soft tofu is preferable IMHO.
Out of curiosity, for Chinese (I guess that should read Chinese-American style) restaurants, what dishes do you use to give it the thumbs up or down? I use this dish and the Hot and Sour soup to get a general idea of the place.
