Good Food in Boston suburbia - Needham/Wellesley/Newton area

I'm a displaced New Yorker schooling in suburbia Boston looking for good food. Anything in the $20 range for dinner would be great - ethnic, American, anything tasty (meals, bakery, sandwiches, what have you).

I'm willing to travel about 30 minutes by car, which also includes the Framingham and Brookline area.

I've tried Fava's in Needham and enjoyed it, but it is a bit expensive for my every week tastes. I've also been to local favorites like Sweet Basil (good Italian food), Not Your Average Joe's (an all around crowd pleaser with fantastic and free bread and dip), Figs (crispy, good pizza/entrees were just okay), and Lemon Thai (cheap good Thai food).
