Good Eats near the Sofitel in Redwood City?

rlh | Jun 11, 201403:09 PM     11

Did my homework, but all of the posts seem pretty dated - here are options I gleaned for eating around the Sofitel Redwood City without a car - not a fan of most room service or hotel venues - seeking options for simple tasty dinner (drinks a plus) around 10p on Thursday night and breakfast / lunch on Friday - any confirmations or other recs (all types of food are fine, budget not an issue)?

Redwood City - Karakade, Martin's West (gastropub), Grullense Mexican (#1 on El Camino Real near Jefferson Ave - 2008 info)
Foster City - Joy (Beach Park Blvd)
Millbrae - The Kitchen, Fat Wong's, In n Out
San Mateo - Izakaya Mai (midnight), Sushi Sam's
San Bruno - Saji (Middle Eastern?)
