Good Eats in Mexico Beach

APirateLooksAt50 | Jul 11, 200105:58 PM     2

If you are in the Mexico Beach, Pt. St. Joe Beach areas, you know it is not over run with places to eat. Two places I can suggest are Toucan's and Half Shells both on Hwy 98 in Mexico Beach. Toucan's is a pretty good sized full service restaurant with really good food and great service, located right on the beach. We ate there 3 times over 5 days, and the food was delicious every time. It is probably the only "big" restaurant in the area. Half Shells is a seafood market that serves good steamed seafood and cold beer in a laid back atmosphere. We had several dozen of their fresh Apalach oysters with cold beer, then bought some great fresh shrimp to take back for a low boil that evening.
