I've been a good Chowhound, but I still need help

Hello N.O. Chowhounds!

Like a good little girl I went through the messages and found a bunch of restaurants to check out! But, my problem is that I have entirely too many places and can't decide which are the must see (well except for Brightsen's and Cafe du Monde, everyone spoke highly of those!)

I was thinking that there is no way that my friend and I will be able to have threee meals a day, so I was thinking of doing like, breakfast and dinner one day, big lunch and tapas or dinner appies another day....
So my question is, which places do you think are good for lunch (i was thinking of hitting maybe the more expensive places for lunch)...And what places have good tapas or bar food?

Like I said, I know i want to hit brightsen's and Cafe du Monde, I was also interested in the Jazz Brunch @ the Palace....and of course i need to get a po boy. Oh yeah, silly little east coast girl, I don't know what the crap a muff is? I saw a bunch of talk about it, and i gather that it is some sort of sandwich, but...that's about it.

Finally, if you all know any good places for music, sights that we shouldn't miss, I'd greatly appreciate the help.

And I just wanted to say thank heavens for the chowhounds!
