Good/bad boxed Thanksgiving dinners to go?

Stanley Stephan | Nov 11, 200203:25 AM

I need to buy one of those supermarket or restaurant complete Thanksgiving dinners this year.

About 9 years ago I bought the Fairmont Hotel's Thanksgiving dinner in a box. I was not pleased. They fancied it up too much. The cranberry sauce had too much orange zest. I think they put cloves or some such inappropriate spice in the sweet potatoes.

So who's bought one of these things from Whole Foods or Andronico's or Safeway or anywhere else?

What was good or bad about the experience? I'm leaning toward Whole Foods at this point.

Since mom isn't well enough to come to Thanksgiving dinner this year, it must come to her. I won't have the time to personally cook it and pack it up to go.
