Gift Certificate Suggestions Needed

Our family wants to chip in and get us a gift certificate for an upscale dinner as a holiday gift. Just curious what your top 3 picks might be - to help us give them some guidance.

I've already put down Babbo and Felidia, as an new and old choice for upscale italian; both are two we've been dying to try.

I'd love to say Per Se, but I think it could be problematic for my husband, who adores food but isn't as adventurous as I am (I, will eat anything) and might find several of the courses not to his liking (i.e.; see the no seafood comment below).

We're looking for new experiences - we've been to Aureole, 11 Madison Park and Grammacy Tavern rather recently so those can be nixed. Doesn't have to be an up and coming place, can be one of more established places which have stood the test of time.

Only absolute is no seafood heavy places - my husband does not eat any of it. Bad for me, but I have to take that into consideration.
