So, is homemade gefilte fish possible? I've always bought it at a store, but this year I'm feeling adventurous. A few questions:
1- First and most importantly, anyone have a recipe to share? I ONLY enjoy the *sweet* gefilte fish (which is usually, but not always, served in loaf form), so I'd like recipes in that ilk.
2- My mom recalls, as a child, going with her mom to the fish store where they would filet the fish and grind it up for her. Do fish stores (or fish departments of supermarkets) generally have grinders these days?
3- How much in advance can I make it? Think Sunday for a Thursday night seder will be ok?
