heard the legend of Gates BBQ for years so was excited to go. an extreme letdown of an experience i must say. this location on the day we were there was awful. The ordering process was very chaotic with the order taker yelling out orders to the cooks and then forgetting who ordered what and then correcting herself while the line got longer. Food drenched in a sauce after asking for it without. sauce had a significant bite. Beef was very tender but didn't taste smoky maybe a beef roast rather than brisket? Do they even have a smoker? didn't see it. Sausage is unusual as it appeared to be all beef, cut in 4 length wise pieces, and quite spicy-or is it the sauce? Even the mild flavor was outside our comfort zone. Macaroni salad was wet and boring. Apple pie tasted like canned pie filling in a crust. To add insult to injury it was expensive $36. An unfortunate fail. C-
