New Gas Grill - Advice Needed

fatassasian | Nov 15, 2008 04:06 PM

I'm treating myself to a new gas grill. My OLD Ducane is biting the dust after many years of great service and it's time to put her to rest. It was a hand-me-down and I'm finding there are so many variances between gas grills these days. So, I'm hoping you can guide me in the right direction.

Here are my criteria:
Cost: Ideally, less than $400
Size: I live in an apartment and the grill sits on my decent-sized patio. I generally grill for 2 people, but grill for up to 6 people occasionally. In other words, not too small but not too big.
Grill must be gas.
Need the ability to cook w/ indirect heat.
Important that the grill simply allows me to cook well. I don't have much use for the add-ons (i.e. side burner, warming compartment, thermometer, lights, all stainless steel body, etc).

I've been looking at the Weber Q 300, Weber Spirit 210, and the Weber Spirit 310. But I've never used them and haven't found many convincing reviews online. Any insight here?

Oh - and I have a Home Depot gift card. So, it'd be AWESOME if the grill is usually available at Home Depot. But, in the end, it's not a dealbreaker.
