We had pretty much written of GofA at the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort after a disappointing dinner for 12 last March until I ran across this article (linked below) about them bringing on a new chef, Evan Treadwell.
According to the article he relocated from northern CA a couple of years ago (Gary Danko's is on his resume) and ran the kitchen at Vigneto in Arroyo Grande, which I am unfamiliar with.
I called and was told he's been on board about 8 mos. Just wondering if there might be a first hound experience during this time anyone might share?
Would also be interested in hearing about his history in the north part of the state from this knowledgeable and esteemed group.
The article also mentions that Chef Michael Albright left GofA in 1997 and has been at Steamers in Pismo since then. Is he doing things there that would make us want to jump in the car and go chow down?
