Hi everyone!

Heading to Montreal in 3 weeks with a group of 8 ladies in their late-20s and am looking for Friday and Saturday night dinner recs. Looking for moderately priced places with a fun, lively atmosphere. Would love at least one to highlight local, french/canadian cuisine. We're coming from San Francisco/Atlanta, so we'll pass on Mexican/Southern food, but everything else is fair game. We'll have at least one vegetarian in the group, so want to make sure the places have some veggie options.

We'd like Friday's dinner to be walking distance from our hotel (Loews Hotel Vogue in downtown), but would love Saturday's dinner to be in a more interesting/hip neighborhood - Plateau or Mile End?

For an idea of how adventurous the group is and the price range we're looking for, here are some ideas that one of the other girls came up with, but I have a feeling we can do better ;)
- Corso1471
- Suite 701 (Old Montreal)
- Les Pyrenees
- Le Mas de Oliviers

If it were my choice, I'd go to Joe Beef or Liverpool House, but I have a feeling those might be too adventurous/pricey for the group? Also, probably too late to get reservations?

Thanks in advance for your help!
