My husband's birthday is coming up. He loves fruit tarts, but for one reason or another he usually ends up with a strawberry shortcake.
I'm looking for a tart (the bigger the better) with fresh fruit (sometimes with a clear gelatin) on top of custard with a ground almond-like graham cracker looking crust. Preferably not a pie crust...sorry to be so specific.
Any recommendations? The birthday party is in the Fullerton, but I'm willing to drive as far west as Monterey Park. Thank you!
