I love the broiled saba (mackerel, saury) served at the Japanese restaurants and wonder where they get the fish. It's not as big as the mackerel sold at Ranch 99 (from the size of the fish steak). Rather the saba is about the size of a pompano. I don't think these saba are salted (dry or brined) and believe they are fresh. Does anybody which markets (preferably South Bay) would have them?
