I used to get fresh baked croutons from the Acme Bakery in San Francisco. 8 oz, for about $3.50.

My commute has changed and I will no longer be going to San Francisco too often.

Is there somewhere in the Fremont / Newark / Union City area, that has good fresh baked croutons?

I saw them at Sprouts grocery store in Newark several months ago, and they were also good. They were in a clear plastic bag in their bakery section. However, when I went the past few times, they said they don't make them like that anymore. Or they didn't know what I was talking about.

They did have some pre-packaged in their normal crouton area. However, I don't think they will be as good, and I don't like how they only come in 4.5 oz packages. I like getting 6 - 8 oz of croutons at a time.

Is there any other bakery that makes fresh croutons like I saw at Acme, or like I saw several months ago at Sprouts?
