Too Much Food, Not Enough Time

jrgkittredge | Dec 8, 201701:22 PM

We'll be in NYC for the long New Year's weekend staying in the Hell's Kitchen area. There's so many places I want to eat, I can't seem to make any decisions. I'm hoping some Chowhounders can help.

We have a reservation at 44 & X one night, I've been and really like it, but we have 3 other nights to fill. Here are some of the places we're looking at:

Medi Wine Bar - anyone been recently?
Brazilian/SA Steak Place- which do you recommend - Ipanema, KRico Fogo de Chao, or Churrascaria Plataforma
Danji - Korean BBQ - never had it and would love to try it for the first time, is this a good place?
Something other than these?

New Year's Day Brunch
Maybe Dim Sum or is there a not to be missed brunch place in the Hell's Kitchen or nearby area?

We tend to like easy going atmosphere, not fancy, and moderately priced: for dinner entrees under $30, though for something special we'll splurge a bit. For brunch we like order off the menu as opposed to a brunch buffet.

Oh and how could I forget, need to get to the deli - Katz or 2nd Avenue?

I guess we'll be spending our entire weekend eating!

44 & X,
Medi Wine Bar,
Churrascaria Plataforma,
Ipanema Restaurant,
Katz's Delicatessen,
2nd Ave Deli
