Followup on Feijao com Arroz (Brazilian in Pompano -- NE Broward)

Went again for their $4.99/lb. lunch buffet, this time on a Saturday (the day they have feijoada) with a Brazilian-born dining companion. As before, pretty much everything was delicious. The feijoada's the real thing, with with real Brazilian-style sausage, good beans and big blocks of pork fat, and the accompanying oranges, brightly-colored greens and just-right crunchy-moist farofa to stir in were all very good.

Grilled chicken legs were fresh, meaty and juicy. A pork stew was richly flavorful and fork tender. The mayo-less, vinegary potato salad with olives wass a nice Portuguese touch. The freshly grilled steak was decent backyard barbecuing. The only less-thaan-thrilling meat was the chicken hearts which were their usual rubbery selves and not tasty enough to really compensate. It's hard to do much with those, so no biggie. One of the better Brazilian buffets I've had. Bodes well for dinner.

The bar appears to be beer and wine only, alas, so no caipirinhas.
