The area around Union Station and Judiciary Square has been known for only mediocre or expensive restaurants. I think the Flying Scotsman will change that.
We went for lunch last Friday. Good pub fare -- we started with a lemony spinach and artichoke dip and my friend had a excellent burger. I tried one of the entrees -- lamb shank, served over egg noodles and veggies. Really good and not too pricey ($12 I believe).
The chef has worked at Cashions and Johnny's Half Shell -- which explains the good quality.
The Flying Scotsman is located on the strange corner near the Labor Department (2nd and C Streets NW) -- next to My Brothers Place.
