Hi fellow Chowhounders,
I need help finding the best Steak au Poive in Manhattan. Right now, my personal favorite is Luciens filet au Poive (excellent cut of meat, medium sized and mega peppery sauce I dont know how they do it). Ive tried a number of steakhouses Sparks, Palm, Keens etc and the sauces just dont seem to have the pepper intensity that I like. Ive also tried a few other French bistros (ex. Balthazar) and they have a great pepperyness but the meat just isnt as tender or of the same quality. Please help my girlfriend and I are having an au Poive emergency this week (as we always do) and we want to go somewhere new.
All suggestions appreciated I've always found this board to be be a great resource.
