Where to find a Malaysian sweet - Dodol

Cicely | Jun 3, 200612:14 PM

My coworker brought back this awesome stuff from Malaysia called Dodol. They're glossy, caramel-like things in a pyramid shape, chewy like rice cakes, scented with coconut. According to the package the ingredients are "Gula Melaka, coconut flower water, coconut milk and glutinous rice flour." I'm totally addicted and there's only one left!!

Anyone know where to find this? I've looked at Thai Banom Khai or whatever and the other Thai sweets shop in Thai Town, but couldn't find anything similar. Anyway, I think this might be distinctively Malaysian - the package says "Dodol was used in the ancient Malay community as an excellent gift to build good relationship."

If you can give me any pointers, we'll definitely have a good relationship!! :)
